How to Do a Walmart Receipt Lookup (3 Ways to Find Yours)

Lost your Walmart receipt? Here are three fast ways to find or reprint it: in the app, with the online lookup tool, or for Walmart.com orders, plus what to do when it won't work.

Method 1: Find it in the Walmart app (fastest)

If you used Walmart Pay in-store or ordered on Walmart.com, the receipt is already in your account.

  1. Open the Walmart app and sign in.
  2. Tap Account, then Purchase History.
  3. Find the trip by date and store, and tap it.
  4. Tap View receipt to screenshot, download a PDF, or start a return.
Tip: Walmart Pay digitizes your in-store receipt the moment you check out, so use it once and you'll never dig through your wallet for a paper receipt again.

Method 2: Use Walmart's online receipt lookup tool

For an in-store purchase you didn't make with Walmart Pay but paid for by card, use Walmart's official receipt lookup tool.

  1. Go to Walmart's receipt lookup page (or Account, then Walmart receipts on the site).
  2. Enter the store location, purchase date, card type, and the last 4 digits of the card.
  3. Submit to pull the matching receipt, then print or save it.

This returns a full itemized receipt with every line item, tax, and the TC number. That is exactly what you need for tax records or an expense claim.

Method 3: For Walmart.com orders

  1. Go to Walmart.com and sign in, or open the app.
  2. Open Purchase History.
  3. Select the order and choose View order or Print receipt/invoice.

Walmart receipt lookup not working? Try this

  • Paid cash with no Walmart Pay? It isn't online, so take the card or a rough date and time to the store's Customer Service desk for a reprint.
  • Card details rejected? Double-check the card type (debit vs credit can differ) and that the store and date are exact. Even one day off returns nothing.
  • Don't see an online order? Make sure you're signed into the same account you ordered with. People often have two.
  • Older than about six months? Online history can age out, but the store may still retrieve it from the register system.

The faster way: let Mylo grab every receipt automatically

Hunting for receipts one store at a time is the slow way. Mylo finds them for you: it scans your email inboxes and signs into the retailer accounts where receipts hide, pulls the itemized version, and matches each one to the card transaction that paid for it. Walmart, Amazon, Target, Costco, Home Depot and more, all in one place.

No new card, no manual entry. Mylo works on top of the Visa, Mastercard, or Amex you already use. Free on iOS, Android, and the web.

Frequently asked questions

Can I look up a Walmart receipt without the card?

Only if you used Walmart Pay or have a Walmart.com order tied to your account; those show in Purchase History. For a card purchase, the lookup tool needs the card type and last 4 digits. Cash purchases must be reprinted in store.

How long does Walmart keep receipts?

Digital receipts generally stay in your account history for several months, and in-store transactions can often be retrieved at the register for longer. For your own taxes, the IRS suggests keeping receipts for at least three years.

What is the TC number on a Walmart receipt?

The TC# (Transaction Code) is the long barcode number at the bottom of your receipt. It uniquely identifies that purchase and speeds up returns and lookups.

Can I get an itemized Walmart receipt for an expense report?

Yes. Both the app and the online lookup tool return a full itemized receipt showing each item and tax, which is what expense and tax records require.
